Near the castle, Castelo do S. Jorge, in Lisbon there are many small and narrow streets and squares. The gentle curve of this street, the steps down the hill, and the traditional Lisbon house colours create a delightful and peaceful scene. with unexpected intricacies. After the painting returned from exhibition at the New Maynard Gallery in Welwyn Garden City, it was sold.
